Useful Programs

Here are some programs that you may find useful. The links are attached so that you can download them - enjoy!

Paint Shop Pro 9 - PSP is a nifty program for making graphics and drawings in. This is what i use for most of my graphics now.

Realplayer - A free video/music player that you can use to download videos from sites like Youtube, clip the parts you don't want, and then convert them into loads of different file types.

GIMP - Another powerful graphics program, with many of the features of Photoshop, except it's free.

Technic/Tekkit - If you play Minecraft, you'll love this Minecraft client. Technic combines loads of great mods such as mocreatures, toomanyitems and railcraft and gives you a minecraft with lots of new technology, like oil, electricity, volcanoes and also 'waypoints' that let you mark places, so you'll never loose your house again! Tekkit is the server version! i love using this.

Google Chrome - The best browser out there. it's also free.

Ubuntu - A linux and debian based operating system that can be installed alongside windows! it's really fun and is free! it provides a big change from windows! its also pretty slick.

7-Zip - A free tool for unzipping .zip, .gz, .rar, .7z and more.

Libreoffice - Open source and free, libreoffice is great if you can't afford to buy microsoft office!

Microsoft Security Essentials - keeps those stupid viruses away.

Paint.Net - A nice, lightweight but heavily featured photoshop alternative!

VLC Media Player - A great, free, lightweight alternative to windows media player that plays so many video types!

Audacity - One of the best free audio editing kits around - it's got loads of features!
